Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service took the decision in 2015 to introduce a series of awards which allowed members of the community and colleagues to recognise members of staff for exceptional service and excellence.
The awards were advertised internally and externally as well as on social media. People were invited to send their nominations via an online survey or by email.
A nominations panel made up of a broad range of staff from across the service had the very difficult task of locking themselves away and deliberating on the numerous nominations to identify the various winners.
Fortunately the entire panel was united in agreement of the winners and was pleased to announce the nominees and those who were ultimately chosen as the winners of this year’s Service Awards For Excellence.
